It’s the 9th annual Trashy Ribs and Blues Festival, Saturday, June 16th starting at 5 pm until 10 pm. The Trashy Ribs and Blues Festival will take place in downtown Orange on Short Street next to the train station. Bring the family, friends, neighbors and anyone else who want to enjoy specialty ribs, home-cooked food, fantastic dance music, and craft beers.
We’ll open the evening with music with Billy and the Backbeats featuring well-known Billy Brockman and Larry Sappington on drums.
Our featured band, coming all the way from Lynchburg, is the renowned Apple Butter Soul Band. We were lucky to be able to re-schedule the band again after their amazing presentation last year. Apple Butter Soul has been spreading jazz, funk, and R&B to some of your favorite music artists such as Ray Charles, James Brown, Maceo Parker, Marvin Gaye, and R. Kelly throughout Virginia for eight years. Having played at Friday Cheers in Lynchburg, Rapture and Fellini’s in Charlottesville VA, and the Tobacco Company in Richmond, Va. Apple Butter Soul will continue to spread some good ol’ Apple Butter Soul to the folks of Orange County, VA!
Along with the music and the craft beers from Oak Ridge Distributors, there will be food vendors each presenting a sumptuous array of menu items. We’ve got Mountainview Barbeque, Michele Sigler from the Inn at Willow Grove, and Shawn’s BBQ all specializing in their signature ribs, sides and great home-cooked barbeque, burgers, and sandwiches.
There is no admission for the event.
The Trashy Ribs & Brews Festival is being brought to you by the Orange Downtown Alliance, the Town of Orange, Teel Goodwin, Miller Law, Mason Insurance, Somerset Seed & Sod, Wealth Preservers Group, Orange Tire, Piedmont Power, Round Hill Inn, Jeff Earnhardt Edward Jones, KLNB Retail, and MTH Management.
