The Orange Downtown Alliance Welcomes New Board Members

Due to the untiring commitment of those organizations that dutifully support our businesses and residents: the Town of Orange, the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Orange County Economic Development, Orange County Tourism, the ODA, and the volunteers who serve their efforts – growth, economic well-being, and  progress is being realized in Orange.

These are exciting times!

It is to that regard that the Orange Downtown Alliance is honored to welcome the appointment of three new members to our Board of Directors.  Joining the Board of Directors are Leslie Carter Gregg, Anna Flewelling Watson, Esq., and Emmie Woody.

We are pleased to welcome these three outstanding leaders to the Board. Each of their reputations of leadership and involvement are valuable assets that we will benefit from.

Leslie has been married to Dan Gregg, founder and CEO of Grelen Nursery and former ODA Board President, for 25 years. She has 3 grown children and is getting used to the idea of an empty nest (very bittersweet). Leslie has a BA from The University of Michigan and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at UVA. Her business background is in consulting, marketing and retail. In 1998, she founded a retail baby shop called Rattle & Roll which she ran until it was sold in 2008. In 2013, Leslie helped launch The Market at Grelen on the 600-acre Grelen Nursery, which was established in 1990. The Market at Grelen is entering its 6th season and has matured into a large destination garden shop, casual cafe, wedding & event venue and PYO farm with a 5 mile walking trail system. Leslie is a huge believer in the local community and as a way to support Grelen’s “neighbors” led the development of the Rural Routes Trail (ruralroutesva.com), a tourism-focused consortium of wineries, restaurants, lodgings and others in Central Virginia.
